Aquaculture
Indian major carps, catfish, prawn and premium local species raised in managed earthen ponds.
- Table fish, live and fresh
- Fingerlings and fry for farmers
- Composite culture practice
On our land at Karanjora, Bankura, Jyotirmoy Terrasol raises freshwater fish, cultivates medicinal herbs and grows natural farm produce, bringing science and technology to every step.
Our ponds, herb plots and fields work together. Pond water irrigates the herbs, crop residue becomes compost, and compost feeds the next season.
Indian major carps, catfish, prawn and premium local species raised in managed earthen ponds.
Ayurvedic and culinary herbs grown, shade-dried and supplied fresh, dried or as powder.
Aromatic rice, seasonal vegetables, honey and the compost that keeps our soil alive.
Our fish are raised in four earthen ponds at our farm in Karanjora, Bankura-II. Paddle-wheel aerators run through the day to keep the water rich in oxygen, so fish stay healthy and grow steadily.
Ropes and floats mark feeding zones, and the banks are kept planted to hold the soil and shade the water.
Date palms and shade trees line the banks, and the water stays calm and clear. A place where fish grow well and people enjoy spending time.
Set against the hills of Bankura, the centre brings together scientific fish ponds, herb gardens, an orchid house and a facilitation centre for farmers, all in one campus.
Raised beds of tulsi, lemongrass, aloe, brahmi and marigold, with drip irrigation and a central walkway for visitors and trainees.
A climate-controlled polyhouse for orchids and high-value herbs, with shade nets, misting and sensor-based monitoring.
Farmer training, a testing and grading room, aggregation and packing space, and a buyer meeting area. Solar panels on the roof.
Planned on 85 bighas (28.33 acres) at Mauza Karanjora, Bankura-II, facing Susunia Hill. The project brings integrated agriculture, aquaculture, agri-technology, post-harvest infrastructure, renewable energy and phased eco-tourism together on one site.

A main lake for composite fish culture with aeration, boating and fishing, and two secondary ponds for fingerling rearing and grow-out. Zones 4–5
Climate-controlled polyhouses for capsicum, cucumber, tomato and strawberry, shade net houses for leafy greens and herbs, and drip-irrigated open-field vegetables. Zones 6–8
Mango, guava, litchi, lemon and moringa with selected medicinal plants, and a nursery raising vegetable, fruit and herb seedlings. Zones 9–10
Sorting, grading, packing and cold storage, a solar power plant for pumps and facilities, and a compost and vermicompost unit for farm waste. Zones 11, 13–14
A training and research centre for farmers and AI/IoT demonstrations, eco-friendly cottages with lake views, and a nature trail towards Susunia Hill. Zones 3, 12, 18
A planned project. The layout is a concept visualisation; final zoning will follow the detailed project report and approvals.
Terracotta-roofed cottages, a lily-covered lake and lantern-lit garden paths, all set beneath the misty slopes of Susunia Hill. A quiet place to slow down and see how a living farm works.
The resort is part of our 85-bigha Jal-Mati plan at Karanjora. Guests stay in eco-friendly cottages built from local materials, wake up to views of the hills and spend the day between the ponds, the orchards and the fields.
Every stay is tied to the farm. Meals use fish from our ponds and vegetables from our fields, and guests can join the daily work, from feeding the fish to picking herbs.
Planned facility. Images are concept visualisations; final design will follow approvals.
A centre for rest and renewal at Karanjora, built around yoga, traditional Ayurvedic therapies and the medicinal herbs we grow on our own land.
The Wellness Centre brings our herb gardens, clean water and open landscape together in one calm setting. Tulsi, ashwagandha, brahmi, lemongrass and other herbs from our fields go into therapies, herbal teas and the centre’s kitchen.
Programmes can run for a day or a longer stay at the resort, for individuals, families and corporate groups.

A vision to transform agriculture through science, technology and enterprise
Jyotirmoy Terrasol Private Limited was envisioned with a shared dream by Prof. Jaideep Dasgupta and Dr. Soma Dasgupta: to bring scientific innovation, Artificial Intelligence and advanced technologies to agriculture and allied sectors, creating sustainable enterprises and meaningful employment opportunities.
Driven by the belief that the future of agriculture lies at the intersection of technology, sustainability and entrepreneurship, the founders aspire to develop a new generation of integrated farming and rural enterprise models. Their vision encompasses AI-powered scientific fishery, climate-controlled medicinal and aromatic herb cultivation, modern poultry farming, animal husbandry, and technology-enabled agricultural practices.
Beyond production, Jyotirmoy Terrasol aims to strengthen rural economies through skill development, cluster development, improved market linkages, value addition and better access to buyers for farmers and small producers. By connecting scientific farming methods with enterprise development and market opportunities, the company seeks to help rural communities move towards higher productivity, stronger incomes and sustainable livelihoods.
Our mission is not merely to produce more, but to produce scientifically, manage intelligently, create enterprises and generate employment.
Through Jyotirmoy Terrasol, the founders aspire to contribute to a future where technology empowers farmers, rural clusters become commercially competitive, and innovation creates opportunities for the next generation.

আমাদের ফসল, আমাদের সংগঠন · কৃষকের সমৃদ্ধি আমাদের লক্ষ্য
Our crops, our organisation. Farmers’ prosperity is our goal.
The Karanjora Farmer Producer Organisation brings local farmers together so they can sell as one. Produce is pooled at a shared collection centre, weighed fairly, graded, packed and stored cold before it goes to market.
Selling together gives small farmers better prices, steady buyers and less waste after harvest. Jyotirmoy Terrasol supports the FPO with training, technology and links to markets.
